WHAT'S NEW

2008

Amy is now working as an Instructional Designer at Career Education Corporation in Hoffman Estates, IL. Since November, Amy has been designing a wide range of online college classes for a number of universities. She is thoroughly enjoying her job, her co-workers and her boss. Although this job does not involve music, she is putting her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction to good use.

Now, with a strictly 9-5 job, Amy and her husband have time to perform music with many groups in the Chicagoland area. Please see Upcoming Events for details.

2007

Amy was honored to have been invited to Conduct and Co-Music Direct the Whitney Young High School Company Reunion revue in honor of retiree, Mr. David Canepa. From October 2006 - June 2007 Amy and her composer-husband, Matthew Hallaron, arranged 14 pieces for, and rehearsed with the 40-member pit orchestra. Amy conducted the orchestra and vocalists in the one-night reunion performance on June 11, 2007. Students from throughout Mr. Canepa's 25-year teaching career came together for this extraordinary evening.

On May 5, 2007 Amy got married to Matthew Hallaron in the Orpheum Theatre in Madison, WI because - after so many years of musicals and theatre, it felt like home to both of them. Matt wrote their wedding processional, a brass quintet titled My Friend, My Future. They have been friends and fellow bass players for 20 years. They enjoy composing, arranging, and performing music together, and plan to continue that for many years to come.

Amy spent 2006 - 2007 moving up the ranks in White Space as a Professional Organizer. In addition to organizing people's homes and offices, she was also the Curriculum Developer and Training Specialist, developing the company's training curriculum and facilitating monthly training sessions. By the end of her tenure at White Space, Amy was also the Project Manager, overseeing approximately 25 clients and their personal organizational needs at any given time.
